Aidan's 1st Birthday

Our precious Aidan turned a year old on January 19th. I thought a lot about this past year and how blessed Craig and I are to have Aidan. He is our world and we love him more than anything. I truly feel that being a parent is the biggest responsibility one can take on. God has entrusted us with this child to love and care for. There has been so many wonderful memories this past year and I look forward to many more to come. Aidan's party theme was "Elmo" since that is his favorite character on Sesame Street,which we watch every morning in bed. It is always so neat to see the smile that lights up his face when Elmo appears on screen. It was the most gorgeous day after a long week of rain. He was surrounded by many who love him dearly and it was a wonderful party.

It has been way too long since I last wrote and much has taken place in the last few months!

I will start with the exciting Christmas surprise of discovering there is another baby on the way. Our family will be expanding and Aidan will be a big brother. Next, Shauna and Ryan welcomed their beautiful little boy Dylan to the family on Christmas Eve! These pictures are of the holidays and Dylan's arrival.

Anniversary Date!

Three years ago Craig and I spontaneously went to the court house on Halloween and got married! Spooky! Anyway, we technically have two wedding anniversaries.

We also have not been on a date since Aidan was born so we decided it was time. We got a limo for the day and went up to Temecula to the wineries. We had a wonderful time together and Aidan did fantastic with Grandma and Grandpa.

By the way, that is a bottle of Caymus Special Select. The best wine ever!

Halloween!

Our First Halloween was a blast! We put Aidan in his Fireman costume and he looked so handsome like his Daddy. We went by "G,G's" house and then came home and had the family over. It was lots of fun and Aidan and Elizabeth had a blast together as usual.

Erica's Birthday!

Erica just celebrated her birthday and we had the best day! It started with a lim0 (which is always a good sign) and went to a shopping spree, lunch at the Coronado Del Hotel and a pedicure! What a day for the girls to relax!

So I decided to dye my hair brown because I could no longer be the high maintenance Mama I once was! Seriously, I just wanted a change and was getting too blond by the minute. I felt like Aidan did not recognize me at first, but he eventually came around.

It was the most beautiful Saturday! We just found out Eva is pregnant and we spent the day hanging out at her house. It had finally cooled off and actually felt a little like fall. Aidan and Elizabeth had such a fun time being pulled in the wagon and I love how Aidan had his little arm hanging over the end. He was chilling!

Day at the Beach

It was supposed to be the hottest day of the week so I convinced us all to hit the beach. The only thing missing was the sun. We still had a good time and Auntie Shauna, who is 19 weeks pregnant, felt Dylan move in her tummy which was really cool! Erica and Avery had fun too! Aidan was hoping to do some surfing but Daddy said not quite yet.

Sunday on the Bay!

Erica and Danny invited us to spend a day on their boat and we had a wonderful time. We anchored in the Coronado Bay and it was just beautiful. Aidan and Avery had a wonderful time and even put up with having to wear life vests when we were moving. They are so cute!

Cantebury Gardens

Cantebury Gardens is so much fun to visit. It is a shop in Escondido that has the neatest festive decorations. It was the opening day for their Halloween decor and a preview of their Christmas decor. I know it's early but it is lots of fun to go check it out. I brought Aidan with me and he loved it. He wanted to touch everything. He especially loved the trains! I think he will have a love for trains like his Uncles William and Mason.

Aidan's Doctor Appointment

Aidan had his 6 month appointment and did fantastic. The doctor was very impressed with his demeanor and said that he is a confident little boy. Craig and I were so pleased to have our son get an A+ from the doctor. He weighed in at 19 lbs. Craig shot this picture and labeled it "Who you calling chubby?".

Chuck E Cheese

Our family went to Chuck E Cheese for David's actual birthday and had a blast. The kids loved it. Aidan kept touching his nose and Elizabeth gave him high fives. So much fun! We will have to go again for sure!

Our Buster Brown is 6 months old today! I can't believe that 6 months ago I gave birth to the most incredible little boy. The thing I can't get over is what a happy child he is. He is always smiling! I thank God everyday for my little boy and time has passed so quickly. It feels bittersweet because I am sad he is growing so quickly yet I can't wait to watch him continue.

We had a little party today for him and it was full of laughter and joy! The best was watching my dad hold him and dance to the twist. I can't wait to show Aidan the video when he is older.

Aidan has so many people who love him and I am so thankful for that!

David's 31st Birthday!

Since my mother has had her hip replacement surgery, we have been spending a lot of time at her house. Eva and I come over to help with certain things and that means Elizabeth and Aidan get to play lots together. It brings my mom so much joy to watch them together and I really think it cheers her up!

We are so excited to announce that Ryan and Shauna are having a little boy! Ryan is Craig's oldest brother and him and Shauna are very special to us. They went to have a 3-D ultrasound and they were able to determine the gender. Shauna is 16 weeks! I have never seen Ryan so happy. It was so special to share that moment together as a family and I am overjoyed that Aidan will have another boy cousin. More pics of Shauna's growing belly to come!

It is so beautiful to watch the relationship between Aidan and his cousin Elizabeth. They both have this special connection as they are kindred spirits. Elizabeth is 18 months and she wants to always share her toys with Aidan and give him kisses. Today she actually held his hand! So special for Eva and I, as sisters, to watch this interaction between our children.

Last Day of Music Class

Today was also Aidan's last day of music class. It was a very big day! We have been in the best music class with cousin Elizabeth and it has been so much fun!

Thanks to my best friend Joni I am now a blogger! This beats facebook and myspace by far!

I guess I'll start with my big accomplishment today.

My son Aidan has started eating solid foods for the first time. This was so special to watch for Craig and I. Aidan is almost 6 months and the love of our lives. Here is a pic of his first meal.
